FeltCommand privacy policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

FeltCommand is an Android app by geetgaming for running a home poker tournament. This page says what the app does with information. The short version: your league's data stays on your phone. Information leaves it only through voice commands, which go through your phone's speech service; sharing a game with the players, which you turn on yourself for each game; and backups you make, or Android makes for you.

What stays on your phone

The app keeps your roster (display names, first names, optional last names, and nicknames you add for voice), your tournament templates, and every game you run (entrants, busts, rebuys, payments, placements and payouts) in its own storage on your phone. We never see it. It is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.

If Android backup is turned on for your phone, Android includes this data in your phone's backup to your Google account, as it does for most apps, and puts it back when you set up a new phone or reinstall the app. That backup is between you and Google; we never see it. You can turn it off in your phone's settings, under Google backup.

The names in your roster are other people's names. Use whatever they are happy to be called at the table.

Backups

Back up now writes all of that into one file and opens Android's share sheet. The file goes only where you send it, for example your own cloud drive or email. We never receive it.

Voice commands

Voice is optional. The app uses the microphone only while you have a voice command open, after Android asks for your permission.

FeltCommand does not turn speech into text itself. It uses your phone's speech recognition service, which on most Android phones is Google's. Depending on your phone and its settings, that service may process the audio on the phone or send it to its provider, under the provider's own privacy policy (for Google: policies.google.com/privacy). To help it hear your players' names, the app gives the service your roster's names and nicknames as hints.

FeltCommand receives only the text. It does not record or keep audio, and it sends neither audio nor text anywhere else.

Sharing a game with the players

Sharing is off until you tap Share with players on a game's live screen. It is turned on for that game only. From then on, the app sends that game to the FeltCommand viewer service so the players can follow it in a web browser:

Nothing else from your roster or other games is sent. The viewer service is run by us, at felt.andrecastillo.com. Its traffic passes through Cloudflare, which carries the connection and sees the network address of each phone or browser that connects. The service itself keeps no logs of who connects, uses no cookies and has no accounts.

Anyone with the game's six-character code or QR code can watch that game, including after it ends. Viewers can only watch; they cannot change anything. A shared game stays on the viewer service until it is deleted. To have a shared game deleted, email us its code. We delete it from the service; our own backups of the service may keep a copy for a while longer.

Notifications and alarms

The app uses notifications and exact alarms to warn you when the blinds are about to go up, even with the screen off. These are scheduled on your phone. No notification comes from or goes to a server.

What the app does not do

There is no account or sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking. The app does not read your contacts, location, photos or files, except a backup file that you pick yourself to restore.

Money

FeltCommand records the buy-ins and payouts your league agrees on. It does not handle, hold or transfer any money, and it offers no gambling. If you buy the app, Google Play handles the purchase under its own terms and privacy policy.

Children

FeltCommand is a tool for adults running a poker game. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly receive information about children.

Changes

If this ever changes, the new policy will be posted at this address with a new date. The app would have to say so before it did anything different.
